It's that time of the month again! New release giveaway hop time =). For this hop, I will be giving readers a chance to win a new release for the month of May ($15 and under before tax, Book Depository). You can choose a Young Adult, Middle Grade, New Adult or Adult book-I have listed some examples below. Each book cover will lead to it's Goodreads page, where you can read a synopsis and reviews.  

Please remember to read ALL rules and regulations first.

Rules & Regulations 

1. Choose ONE book to win- Either YA, MG, New Adult, or Adult Fiction. It MUST be a book released in May 2013. If you do not see one that you like above, choose any other release in May 2013, and I will order it for you. Book value must be $15 or under (before taxes).
2. Must be 16 years or older to win.
3. You must be following me (Bloglovin, GFC, Linky or RSS).
4. Contest ends at 12:00 AM on May 31/2013
5. Winners will be announced via Twitter and/or emailed, so be sure to follow!

  10. I would have to say Elena from Nalini Singh's Guild Series. She's strong, independent, and takes no prisoners while being fair. She's one tough chick!

  23. My favorite female lead is a tie between Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson and Karen Chance's Dory Bassarab. Both fight evil and are always the underdogs, but they keep trying. They both come off as tough, but they are compassionate underneath it all too.

Elizabeth Bennett because, despite the conventions and limitations of her time, she was not afraid to speak her mind or stand up for herself - i.e., choose not to marry someone she didn't like just to have her own household. She wouldn't settle for anything less than love and she stood by her standards.

  41. That is an impossible question for me to answer. I love Sybella from Dark Triumph, Ismae from Grave Mercy, Ellie from Angelfire, Kami from Unspoken, Carey from If You Find Me, Hermione from Harry Potter. There aren't enough of them, but there are still some seriously fantastic, kick butt female leads and I love the ones I am lucky enough to meet!

  45. There are so many. But, I'll go with Usagi Tsukino in all her forms. She is also Sailor Moon, Princess Serenity, and Neo Queen Serenity. In her normal form, she's a crybaby. But, in her other forms, she is alot tougher, and does what it takes to save everyone and the world, many times.

  60. My favorite female lead character is Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) from The Hunger Games, and I chose Katniss because of her bravery to volunteer so her sister wouldn't die, and her bravery along with Peeta's, to change The Hunger Games forever.

  65. There are quite a few female leads that are my favorite. My top favorites are Rose from Vampire Academy Series and Queen Charlaina from The Pledge Series. I think it’s because we were able to see them grow through each series and become these strong and mature women.   67. its really a hard choice really so many Id have to say katniss from the hunger games for her strength and resilliance but that seems to be the consenious but in all out honesty id have to say Morgan Kingsley, a kick-ass exorcist from the morgan kingsley series by jenna black is aweosme an dmy hero all that she goes threw I just heart her

I love Keylin Neya from Michelle Sagara's Chronicles of Elantra series, Kate Daniels from Illona Andrews' series, Chess from Stacia Kane's Downside Ghosts series and Alex Craft from the series by Kalayna Price -- they all are strong female leads, that although they're dealing with a lot of issues, have an inner strength that's there when they need it most.

Surprisingly, I have a lot of fav female lead characters, and most of them are strong & can kick some butt ;) but one I'm still under impressions about although I read the books last year is Eona from Alison Goodman's Eon/Eona duology. I just loved her story & everything she had to do, and the sacrifice she makes in the end, she's just such an amazing character, so yeah, she's one of my top favs. Although I could easily list around 10 more ;)
