LAST WEEK: Jan 6-12

Can you guys BELIEVE it's already January 13!? Like..WHO is stealing the time? WHERE is it going? I need this year to slow down a little..just a little-especially since I've gone ahead and became an overachiever with my Goodreads book challenge..150 BOOKS! Yup, pray for me-I'm gonna need ALL of the help I can get lol, I'm ALREADY behind 2 books at my current pace *siiigh*

What goal did YOU all set for this year with your Goodreads challenges?

Like I told you all last week, I recently got my position back at my local bookstore, and since then, have been taking FULL advantage of my employee discount =D, much to my boyfriend's frustration. I am DEFINITELY going to need more room on our bookshelves ..hehehe. I got some REALLY AMAZING deals in the couple of weeks, and received a few exciting books for review/tours. Be sure to check out my Stacking the Shelves at the bottom of the post to see what I got! On the the overview of the past week on the blog

I'm a little bit out of control..or..WAS. Let's go with was, because I have officially put myself on a mini book-buying ban-just a TINY one. Like I keep telling you guys, this wonderful little perk called that has kindly fallen into my lap-my employee discount-is slowly..ok QUICKLY..draining my account. I might as well be handing my paycheque RIGHT back to my manager lol *big sigh*. To completely justify these purchases however, I DID get them all at a MAJOR discount. So..HA! Take THAT conscience! Now, on to the books =) :

BORROWED: WORK

Listed as one of Indigo's Spotlight books, this one was recommended to me by a co-worker. I'm about a third of the way through, and have laughed out loud MULTIPLE times already. A man, and a moose calf, living in the woods, one by choice, the other by nature-you can only imagine what ensues. Definitely recommended already.

PURCHASED

These babies were 3 for $10! Like..c'mon, no sane OR insane person would pass that up. I definitely couldn't =P.

I don't know if you guys can see the price stickers on there, and if you can, and are wondering if you're seeing right. YOU ARE. You most definitely are. $3.99 EACH baby. OOOOHHH.YEAH. Now all I have to do is buy me the first one, City of Bones, for full price (boo!)..and I'll be well on my way into The Mortal Instruments series.

We recently got a whole slew of classics in with these snazzy new cover designs by Collin Classics. I wish I took a pic of the spine for you guys too, it looks SO GREAT on my shelves. I have 4 others at work waiting to be purchased (Emma, Jane Eyre, Moby Dick, and Sherlock Holmes), but I'm taking it one week at a time.
