Ethan was abducted from his front yard when he was just seven years old. Now, at sixteen, he has returned to his family. It's a miracle…at first. Then the tensions start to build. His reintroduction to his old life isn't going smoothly, and his family is tearing apart all over again. Something unspeakable...

I have been severely addicted to psychological thrillers lately (ever since Gone Girl. Review here). I have only experienced (and loved) the genre in Adult Fiction, so I'm excited to see what a YA author has in store for it. This storyline sounds beyond intriguing, and I really like the fact that the main lead is a male. I feel like this genre is mostly populated with females-females being abducted/abused/etc. I can't wait to read the plot twist..oohh those plot twists!!

I've never read anything by this author, but I recognize her as the author of the Wake series. Can anyone shed some light?

  3. I've read the Wake series and Cryer's Cross by Lisa McMann, and liked them both. I really like her writing and she seems to like to have creepy elements. This one is on my list too.

  5. The cover looks beautiful and scary at the same time. I've not really a person who likes creepy stuff so I'm going to have to pass this on :)
